Consistent pricing, across every bottle and every glass.
A rules-driven engine that applies markup ranges, rounding logic, and VAT basis consistently across bottle and by-the-glass. Set the policy once, apply it everywhere, and every recalculation leaves an audit trail.

The gap today
What changes with Vinius
Rules-based pricing applied across bottle and by-the-glass from one policy layer
What's inside
Not a markup multiplier. A rules layer that connects cost, volume, and policy into a single, auditable engine.
Markup ranges attach to lots so cost basis flows directly into price calculation. Different lots of the same wine can carry different pricing rules.
Glass prices derive from configured pour volumes, bottle cost, and policy rules. No separate spreadsheet, no manual override each night.
Apply different markup matrices per venue, wine list, or category. One policy change propagates to every affected price automatically.
Every recalculation is timestamped and attributed. Pricing decisions are reviewable, not a black box.
Duplicate a pricing environment for events, seasonal lists, or testing without touching live prices.
Flag prices that fall below a defined floor or outside expected markup ranges before they go live.
How it works
Set markup ranges, rounding rules, and VAT basis by wine category, region, or venue. Policies apply to bottle and glass contexts from the same definition.
Purchase cost and supplier data sit in the lot record. When a new lot arrives at a different cost, the engine recalculates affected prices automatically.
Configure pour sizes per wine or category. Glass prices calculate from the bottle economics and the markup policy, keeping pour cost visible.
Repricing events log with a timestamp, attribution, and the policy state at the time. Override a price manually and that override is tracked separately from the rule.
For multi-venue groups
Hospitality groups and multi-venue operators often carry the same wines at different venues with different margin targets. Vinius lets you set org-wide pricing defaults and then layer venue-specific overrides on top, so consistency is the starting point, not an afterthought.
What it changes
Industry-typical figures. Actual results depend on the program.
| Outcome | Before | With Vinius |
|---|---|---|
| Repricing cycle time | Hours of manual spreadsheet work | Minutes with policy-based recalculation |
| Pricing consistency | Varies by staff, shift, or whoever last edited the sheet | Policy-driven, same logic applied every time |
| Glass margin visibility | Rarely calculated; relies on memory | Derived automatically from pour volume and lot cost |
| Pricing audit readiness | No clear record of who changed what or when | Full attributed changelog for every price change |
