    Managing glass volumes

Define valid pour sizes per beverage type, decide between organization defaults and site overrides, and keep glass pricing aligned with bottle cost.

    Quick answer

    • Configure glass volumes per beverage type: wine, sparkling, fortified.
    • Decide the scope first: organization default, or site-specific override.
    • After changes, save the rules and apply pricing so bottle and glass prices stay aligned.

    What glass volumes control

    • Which pour sizes appear in pricing and wine card output
    • Which size is treated as the default for each beverage type
    • The display order of the available volumes
    • Whether a volume is enabled or temporarily hidden

    Scope: organization versus site

    • Organization scope: one shared default setup for all sites.
    • Site scope: a local override for one site.

When you start a site-specific setup you can begin from your organization defaults and fine-tune locally.

    1. Pick the beverage type (wine, sparkling, fortified).
    2. Add the volumes you need, in millilitres.
    3. Set labels (optional), the default volume, and the display order.
    4. Enable only the volumes you want visible and usable.
    5. Save.
    6. Re-apply the glass pricing rules to update wines offered by the glass.

    Validation and limits

    • Volume must be between 25ml and 1000ml.
    • Duplicate volume values for the same beverage type in the same scope are blocked.
    • Custom label length is capped at 50 characters.
    • Order must be non-negative.

    Typical default baseline

For newly initialised setups, the common defaults are:

    • Wine: 125ml, 175ml
    • Sparkling: 125ml, 150ml
    • Fortified: 50ml, 100ml
