Quick answer
- The app is available for iPhone. An Android build is in development and not released yet.
- Sign in with the same Vinius account you use on the web. Nothing is set up twice.
- Your organizations, roles and site access carry over exactly as they are.
Installing
Install Vinius from the App Store on iPhone.
There is currently nothing to install on Android. The build is in development and we would rather say that plainly than have you searching the Play Store.
Vinius operates on an invitation basis, so you need an existing account before the app is useful. If you do not have one, request access first.
Signing in
Tap Sign in with Vinius. You are taken to the secure Vinius login page, then returned to the app.
The login page supports email, Google, Microsoft and other SSO providers. Use whichever method you already use on the web, because it is the same account either way.
You do not create a separate mobile account, and you do not need to be re-invited to use the app.
What carries over
Everything about who you are and what you can see:
- Every organization you are a member of
- Your role in each one
- Your site access within each organization
- Your notification preferences, per category and in your language
This means the app cannot show you more than the web does. If a site is missing on your phone, the cause is your site access, not the app. See Managing users and access.
What the app is for
The app is built around work that happens away from a desk:
- Live stock, using the same figures the web dashboard reports
- Adding bottles as they arrive, including by scanning the label
- Movements and the audit trail, so a correction made in the cellar is recorded properly
- Cellar value and stats without opening a laptop
- Tasting notes on the spot, while the wine is still in the glass
- Push notifications for messages and program activity
- Switching organisation and site as you move between locations
- Club announcements and wine offers
Longer-form setup work, pricing rules, wine card design, user administration, stays on the web where the screen is bigger.
If a feature says it is not available
Some roles can view wine information without changing it. Where that applies you will see a clear message rather than a silent failure, for example that your current role can view stock but cannot add, remove or move bottles, or can view assigned venues without editing sites, rooms and storage units.
That is a role boundary, not a bug. Ask an owner or manager in your organization to adjust your role if you need to make changes.
